Our Beliefs

The mission of The United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We believe that all Christians are in ministry to proclaim and share the good news of God’s grace through our love of God and neighbor – in word and action. This is what Jesus taught and showed his disciples how to do. This is what we learn how to do as a community of believers empowered by the Holy Spirit to study the Bible, pray, worship, and use the gifts God has given to us.

The sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion are celebrated as visible signs of the invisible grace of God that is present and active in our lives. In Baptism we are claimed and named as children of God. In Holy Communion we remember that we are joined together as one by Christ.
