Ways to Get Involved

Worshiping and serving God are the primary ministries of our church. Whether people attend our weekly worship service, come for a funeral or memorial service, join the hand bell choir, or our praise band, we offer a variety of ways for people to join together in worshiping God. Service opportunities range from: collecting food and personal care items for the food pantry; weaving mats for the homeless; ringing bells for the ‘red kettle’ campaign; collecting school supplies for area students; raking leaves for older members; helping people have Thanksgiving meals; and helping at the food wagon at area events.

Our congregation partners with Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley, Inc. to provide a counseling center (here in our building) that serves the community year-round. CAP Services’ offers Head Start classes for children ages 2, 3 and 4 at our church during the school year. We also host one of the New London Park and Recreation Department’s community garden sites where residents can ‘rent a plot’ to put in a garden during the Summer.

Bible Study

During the year a variety of study groups are offered.

Lenten Study group discussing “Imago Dei”, made in the image of God, will begin March 11th. This group meets over Zoom, on Tuesday afternoons at 4:00pm,  with Pastor Debi. Email Pastor Debi for the zoom link. Pastordebi@mynewlondonumc.org

Women’s Study/ Prayer group meets once a month, the first Thursday morning AT 10AM, in the church lounge. Starting March 6, we will be reading “Woven”, by Angie Smith, and as we learn how the Bible is woven together as one story, we will also discuss how we can share God’s story and love everywhere we go.

Please check our Calendar for groups and times and join us on the journey!

UMM - United Methodist Men

Proceeds from food sales support community causes and church needs.
